Kids College

Hodgenville Civic Center

200 South Lincoln Blvd.

Hodgenville, Kentucky

 

Kids College is open  to  those going into grades 3– 8 in the 2009-10 school year.   

 

Students will choose two topics from the following sessions:

 

Can You Build It? Learn the process of building a project—sand, paint, construct!  Learn basic safety and how to properly use power tools.

Exploring the Arts—This is one place where making it up as you go is encouraged!  Write and act in your own play!  Learn to interpret a song through movement.  Create animals using balloons and use your imagination to act out a story using them.

Mad Scientist—If you love science and inventing—this class is for you.  You become the mad scientist creating surprise concoctions!

American Girl FunExplore different types of crafting and make fun accessories for you and your American Girl doll.  Embroidery, scrapbooks, paper crafting, clay food, friendship bracelets and more.

No Boys Allowed Fun girl’s crafts—French knitting, bath fizzies and soap, scrabble tile necklaces, paper crafting, and tie dye pillowcases with sharpies.

No Girls AllowedFun boy’s activities—Model cars, rockets, planes and more!

Where in the World?Pack your passport and join us for an adventure.  Learn the locations of several countries and discover their culture.

Cookin’ Up a Storm—Turn snack time, lunchtime and any mealtime into fun time when YOU are the cook!  Explore ways of making ordinary foods appetizing, experiment with recipes and then enjoy them!

 

Registration/Tuition

Tuition for each  4-day camp is $75.  This covers the entire instructional program, including materials, kits, & a T-shirt.   Tuition must be included with the registration form.  No refunds once a student is accepted.  Kids College is filled on a first-come, first-served basis.  The completed registration form, consent form and payment should be mailed to:

Time and Location

Kids College will meet four consecutive mornings. Students will be in class from 9:00 to 11:45 a.m. (ET) each day.  There will be a short 15-minute break where refreshments will be provided.  Students MUST be picked up no later than Noon each day. 

 

Kids College will be conducted at Hodgenville Civic Center 200 South Lincoln Blvd., Hodgenville, Kentucky 42748.
